Hp laptop battery life

Question:Why is it that after two year of owning one they decided to last all of 5 minutes? wow thats not even enough time to open and load the slow that is comp? However, there are some tips and tricks you can use to extend your Presario V2000 battery life. One of them is let your battery completely discharge, then charge it completely before using it again. I read that you should do this about once every couple of weeks. Sorry, this will probably not help with your dying battery.My ThinkPad battery lasts less than 10 minutes. I have to use it plugged in.
