Increase my Laptops Battery Life

Question:What can I do to Increase my laptop battery life, I will be going on a long road trip and don't know if I can get an adapter....in power save with the LCD at the lowest my computer will only last about 2:30. Is there a way to improve it?Im using a Dell Inspiron 6000 battery with Windows Vista Answer:Set the screen brighness to 70%. Its hardly any difference to look at, but big savings. Also, turn off Wifi if your not using, set it to hibernate whenever you close the lid, and reduce the time to standby/ sleep to a few minutes of inactivity.
