Do you power an American laptop in a European outlet with a converter?

Question: I know PC’s will fry, but can you make ASUS M9V battery plug the adapter into a European outlet and use it to charge the laptop battery? Do you think you the bility ? Answer:Look on your adapter if the battery is rated for 110-250volts, 50-60Hz then all you need is an adapter plug. If it isn’t then you need a step-down transformer(240v to 110v). Do not use a power converter! do you know .and propose you try to buy a new battery : Toshiba PA3098U-1BRS battery , Toshiba PA3107U-1BAS battery , Toshiba PA3107U-1BRS battery , Toshiba PA3123-1BAS battery.I think you are a wise man .
