Test Acer BATCL50L battery performance?

Question: I bought recently Acer BATCL50L battery. The specification gives 2-3 hours battery but i feel its giving less battery life. Since i have waranty period running , i want to run a test to find out the battery life before i could claim for a replacement . Is ter any way to test it ? can i buy new one to experimentalize?
